Stripes For The Win

My favorite wardrobe essential is the striped button-down shirt. This button-down is as essential to me in a wardrobe as the plain white button-down because of its versatility. Stripes are also such a timeless pattern — it will never go "out-of-style"! Striped button-downs are definitely something to have in your wardrobe because of how classic they are. You can pair these button-downs with jeans, pants, slacks and even shorts! Today, I have partnered with GANT to show you guys how I style a few button-downs and to share about why the striped button-down is an essential in your wardrobe!

My current favorite shirt in my closet is the GANT ‘Slim Fit Banker Striped Shirt’. The fit alone of this shirt is enough to make me buy 10 of them, it’s the perfect slim fit without being too tight or too snug. Besides the fit, I also love the structured collar and the chest pocket as well. There’s many color ways to choose from but, I went for the Pine Green color combo and I love how it looks paired with blue jeans. The pine green gives the shirt just the right amount of color while also keeping it simple. I decided to keep my look very minimal and classic by wearing my favorite pair of vintage denim jeans from Calvin Klein and plain white sneakers. To accessorize, I wore my favorite sunglasses from Tom Ford and my black and gold Cornwall watch from Daniel Wellington (the warmer tones of these accessories go perfectly with the green of the shirt).
